Today at 7:00 PM Cairo time, Signal Iduna Park will host a strong clash between the French and Polish national teams in the third and final round of the Euro 2024 group stage.
The French team needs only a draw against Poland at Signal Iduna Park to officially qualify for the Round of 16.
The French team aims to secure a victory to guarantee the top spot in the group, but they haven’t delivered the expected results so far. They began their campaign with a hard-fought win over Austria thanks to an own goal and then drew 0-0 with the Netherlands.
The French team will welcome back one of their key players, Kylian Mbappé, who recently joined Real Madrid. He missed the Netherlands match due to a broken nose sustained in the first game.
On the other hand, the Polish team, which has already been eliminated from the tournament, aims to achieve a morale-boosting victory over France and leave the competition with their heads held high.
Poland’s coach, Michał Probierz, said, “I asked my players to be strong. They should not be afraid, and they should not avoid speaking to the media and the fans.”
He added, “What wasn’t enough against these big teams this time can be a lesson for the future. We have things to work on.”
Robert Lewandowski is set to start for Poland, having come on in the second half of their last match against Austria.
